Oxford Prescription Drug List Updates for July 1, 2014

We have made updates to our Oxford Traditional and Advantage Prescription Drug Lists (PDL). The PDLs, which are updated twice annually with January 1 and July 1 effective dates, are a key component to how we help manage total health care costs and provide members with affordable access to prescription medications.

The new PDLs, which are effective July 1, 2014, are located in the Tools & Resources section of the oxfordhealth.com Broker portal, under "Oxford Prescription Drug List." To help you become familiar with the changes for July 1 and determine which ones may affect your clients, attached below are summaries of the changes.

Client outreach
Please make clients aware of the July 1 updates and ensure they have access to the new PDLs. Members in need of a prescription medication should review the PDL with their doctor so they can make an informed decision about the most cost-effective option.

Employers can view the new PDLs and summaries of the changes in the Tools & Resources section of oxfordhealth.com's Employer portal, under "Oxford Prescription Drug List."

Members taking select maintenance medications who are affected by a change will receive a letter by July 1, 2014. If applicable, lower cost alternative medications will be listed in the letter.
